okay actually maybe it’s not that rushed, i definitely do think it could’ve been more emotionally driven bc when i read the novel that scene made me cry so much especially bc you can see how much killian loved her in that moment and felt extremely regretful and sad for all that’s happened to edith. but yeah i still love the ending they have here, can’t wait to read more chapters of the side stories so far im loving it a lot!!!
Idk, I like how Liz’s was redeemed and the author was punished by separating the two, but that’s like, it? I kinda hate that they made Killeon duke when him moving to the county would have been just fine, and they didn’t wrap up cliff. I was hoping to see a nice calm romance between cliff and his average looking wife be very emotionally driven in the manhwa, but now I think he’s just gonna end up with the author or something ¯_(ツ)_/¯
as someone who has read the novel, i actually like how they are portraying the ending here! i do like the novel’s ending as well but the manhwa definitely helped answer all unanswered questions i had about certain aspects of the story. for instance, i absolutely love the fact that they discuss what happened to the previous people who possessed edith, as well as bring up OG edith and OG lize. that was something that bothered me about the novel bc i was super curious to what happened to them so it was great to see it be explained here! i def do wish tho that they made the scene where edith is facing execution more dramatic/similar to the novel because it felt a little less impactful/emotional here in the manhwa and idk i feel like it was kinda rushed(?) but nonetheless i still very much enjoyed it!
