I cried in some parts of the novel, one part felt so bad that even the MC broke the 4th Wall:-

The whole novel, you can consider MC as the Korean version of Natsuki Subaru. He is G*dmned, Hell be dmned CrAZy for rEal. Actually, he got the power to regress, you can consider his spiritual roots like Han Jue with all inferior roots, the side characters are not to be underestimated, the cultivators are honestly ruthless, not like those third rated xianxias, some are quite sly, one even deceived the MC who thought they were good. MC is TRULY a Cultivator, but with no prior knowledge about novels, games, series or the like, he didn't know to be careful as he was a former corporate employee. Also, he goes beyond cultivation with his bro again and again so much so that the amt of time he spent with his bro can't be equal to the no. of times he might have encountered his possible wife. His dedication is so admirable that he makes his brother learn the same concepts over and over repeatedly again. About the one who deceived the MC, it is that Water God with an attitude who kidnapped someone like it was nothing. Also, MC is Supposedly one of the children (*this isn't a confirmed fact, but him having Regression powers means Something*) and when he crosses/comes across a certain space, he's Told(WARNED) by [??] Never to reveal his powers to anyone cuz this IT has eyes & ears everywhere in the 3000+ worlds. IF revealed, MC could be caught and possibly suffer a fate Worse than Death.
Also MC's wife Dies 1st time which he realised it was a melodramatic situation as if Fate played a Joke on him. She had first met him in a desert region and she gives him water which was a huge help to him. He knew but couldn't do anything. She was chopped into two parts...... won't say more and the city they were in reeked of blood. Btw, just saying that if his Martial Brother wasn't there, MC would have given up on everything, living life as a mortal. Some events remain the same, but with minor alterations. He is a righteous Cultivator in the sense that he doesn't take Any Life Enhancement Pills taken from other people's lives and young children. One part made me sad when his Martial Brother was killed and turned into a zombie in front of his eyes and he had to kill him..One other part also touched me where he has taken in kids (comparable to Root Ninjas in Naruto) and taught them diligently to think on their own, trust and learning new stuff, they all died It broke my heart when MC realised he could NEVER go back to those times. And even then, he didn't waste time improving upon himself, gathering information and even training with his Brother. The improvisation methods to his techniques were just insane, both in training and applying it practically. He is even worse than Sunless that he couldn't even get to break through his cultivation lvl cuz he wasn't destined to. So he overcame it with his training and tried other methods, exp and whatever he could gather. His Regression runs has already gone beyond 100+, oof the novel made me go bonkers Don't worry, if you love logic in cultivation with a Super Righteous yet Very crazy and slightly manipulative MC (as in hiding his secrets) u can give it a go.

Actually, it's a Real Regressor novel in the sense that MC has no prior cheats nor access to systems or gaming knowledge, web series and the like. Just that he sometimes tends to Not doubt others, he knows to keep his wits about him but he is a Hero type character with an EXtreme Thirst for advancement. The novel does becomes better but the tragedies and everything he went through doesn't stop. He also has to ensure that he doesn't get caught by [???] while increasing his Senior bro's power and one day he would be able to rescue his companions alongside him. There's a lot of logical explanation given for stages and the girls who come along with MC far later are also strong. Unfortunately had to drop at the part where he couldn't save that brutally chopped girl.....cuz he himself knew Fate pulled a cliche on Him.

So far where I'm at in the novel, it's not harem. He is their faithful lover during that particular cycle. And he takes centuries to get over his previous gf. So I give him a pass. I consider it something like dating someone, breaking up, and finding a new love. I'm only on chapter 300 though. So we'll see if that remains the same in the end.

Spoilers
Like ppl complain that he got over BW too soon and got with KY. But hello, he was with KY over 1000 years. And by that point, he can never go back to BW. Was he expected to save himself for her forever? Though, where I am in the novel, I feel his love for KY is so shallow. Sure, they were companions for 1000 years, but it never felt like he liked KY. Only felt sorry for her. And right after that cycle, he barely interacts with KY. (I am on the Sea Dragon arc). For two cycles after he spent 1000 years with KY, he hardly even talks to KY at all during the Azure Tiger and then the Sea Dragon arc.
But!! With that being said, I am glad the author doesn't focus on romance. I'm here for the action and world building. So I'm not mad the story hardly focuses on the romance. They, so far, are treated like afterthoughts.

About kim yeon
Spoilers:

About the part about how his feelings feel shallow (I agree), I read in the authors note that he felt pressured by the fans to make seo eunhyun accept her heart/feelings, and they were originally planning on making seo eunhyun reject kim yeon despite spending so much time together. The author also said they regret making him accept her feelings.
If you’d like I could try and find the exact authors note which said this?
Anyways I just wanted to let you know :)
…have some SPOILER from the novel…
I can see the plot holes already in the early chapters…
My god. I have mixed feeling about this.
