Actually good prediction but none of the above happens as you describe yes there’s angst but surprisingly it works out wonderfully and all of their grievances are addressed and their relationship grows and doesn’t feel as a power dynamic before
Yall know how this is gonna go. Mumsie will threaten her family/tell her he doesn't actually like her/to step aside for his future if she really loves him/blah blah, her son gonna act a fool, ending up in a stupidly compromising situation mumsie set up when FL walks in, she'll feel betrayed & see it as confirmation of what mumsie said, get pissed/heartbroken and fly off to study abroad and come back a worldly woman with a steel heart, set on never letting him/anyone hurt her, he'll act like he didn't know mumsie is a spiteful witch that drove the girl away until that hoe slips up right in front of him, he'll have an epiphany etc etc etc
