I read fifty shades of grey when I was 13-14. And I always thought something was amiss because while I enjoyed the story, really liked it in fact, but something was still off putting about it all. I just grew up thinking bdsm is just not my thing. Which is okay, because bdsm was a fetishisation of women's oppression whithin patrirachy. This story made me realise I just hated seeing women in the submissive position, men are fine. (=・ω・=)

Might also be the fact that 50 shades of Grey is poor representation of bdsm in general. Anyone serious in the community thinks poorly of 50 shades bc it does nothing but reinforce negative stereotypes. This is 100 not an attack on you but super important to know that it's amiss bc it glorifies abuse and makes a joke out of consent.

The dom in that story is a joke to any decent Dom irl, and honestly wouldnt even be considered a dom just abusive if 50 shades was real. But I digress.

Overall, The biggest and most important factor in bdsm is consent and communication. And I hope people keep that in mind when reading bdms stories or any of them that claim to be bdms. I really like this story and my only current gripe in with it is the lack of safeword at the moment. Sorry if I seemed heated or came off aggressive. I know you said you liked 50 shades and all and nothing wrong with that but it truly does do a disservice to the real bdsm community. (⌒▽⌒)

Nah it's fine no need to say sorry. I liked it as 13 year old I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like it now. I was reading every single book I could get my hands on back then

Id say thats a crazy read at 13 but I read a lot of quotev stories at that age and you can find a lot of og stories or fanfics there, many being dark romances ify yk, so I totally get that jajaja.
