I was listening to “knuckle velvet” by ethel cain and it reminded me so much if this story that i decided to re-read it again with the song playing on repeat on my headphones.Safe to say i got that empty feeling on my stomach again just like when i read it 5 years ago at 14. I love this story although it destroys me every time.
