The only villain was squall’s father. He was the seed of disaster for everything that happened. The artstyle is very cutesy but it can talk about pretty depressing and sad things. Also I found interesting that the author gave characters some kinds of “disability”, Squall missed one arm, Margaret was hypersensitive to sounds (making them both flawed heirs), later as Mag she can’t talk for a while. All characters were afflicted by a mental pain, as described in the story, caused by the war and the loss of their families. I think some things could have been developed more or in a slightly different way (like the whole backstory that caused Margaret’s death), but overall is a good story with unique concepts.
