Maybe she took inspo from both Frankenstein and the mythology? If the hounds treat him like a religion then maybe they had something to do with it? Sisyphus was pretty evil and manipulative, but guwon seems rather sweet and innocent in a weird way, like he kills ppl, but it is normal to him and he’s just doing it bc the villagers vote on it or is threatened. Then again killing a father is pretty evil. But if he didn’t have parents then he wouldn’t understand the bond. He’s def a dynamic character. I like your theory. He definitely is like Frankenstein, his personality aligns more with Frankenstein, not sisyphus.
In Greek mythology sisyphus cheated death by chaining thanatos, which prevented anyone from dying. Now in this story the “zombies” are people that just won’t die, and if guwon is sisyphus, he’s the reason for the collapse of society/zombies. Eventually hades punished him by forcing him to roll a boulder up a steep hill for eternity. So if that gives any indication on where this story will go…
