First off, I summarized the entire novel as much as I could here, for those looking for spoilers. I left out some unimportant events but I think I covered the major stuff : https://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/19386114/
Tbh, my memory may be foggy over this work since I last posted but I’ll bring up the source if you ever need it.

For blood relations IN NOVEL (see my note about Novel vs Manhwa in spoilers), some people were confused as they couldn’t find the source. English translations are very, very far behind; they’re still in the first book. The only time Tae Rok mentions anything about blood relations is in the second book.
For Nanyoung’s birthright : in the very first chapter in the first page, the novel speaks about MC bring a mirror image of the king his father. This confirms his birthright.
For Tae Rok the uncle: in volume 2, story 6 he says to Nanyoung this exact phrase : “ 너와 나는 피할 수 없는 인연. 피로 이어진 인연. 혈육 관계니까” which can be translated to "You and I share an inescapable bond. A connection forged in blood. Because we’re family." I’ve always went ??? about his birthright, but when I read this, I didn’t question it anymore.
Hope this helps. (BTW I’m not a self proclaimed incest lover asfgffhj I just read a VERY WIDE RANGE of Korean novels in case anyone’s wondering lololol)
