At this point, I don't care if their neglect was for her sake. That constant emotional abuse isn't in anyway come from people who truly love her. There's no way such hurtful words can come if they just wanna pretend to neglect her. They're already used to abuse her both in words and behavior, so that's what they ever know to do. If they truly just want to pretend to neglect, such hurtful thing wouldn't even come from their mouth. Comparing her to another girl, stating how they never care of what she do, all that in front of servants that clearly worsening her reputation and respect expected for her. This father and son are just hypocrites that hiding their mistake.
