He left him alone and didn't want him to end up regretting things, so he let him do whatever he wants and didn't stop him. But the uke liked the Duke from the very beginning as well. It turned from innocent feelings to actual love. By himself and seeing how caring the Duke actually is.
He didn't force him or groom him. Y'all are just too sensitive.
