amazing story, its truly one of the best manga ive got to lie my eyes on. The story manages to be at the same time super funny and emotionnal, the balance is just perfect, the characters are each well devlopped and serve a good purpose without making them solely one character trait, like Yuriko fujoshi's tendency doesnt overshadow her whole character, but it serves the plot well.
The way their relationship is written is super refreshing too, the author shows the affection they both have for eachother quite a lot, for example them having as their perfect ideal just coming back home to the other. all that is without any romantic or sexual undertone, which makes it really unique. i appreciate the fact that even tho they dont have feeling for one another, their partner is still their main priority and it works well (even tho Takerota got kind of a bittersweet ending), all that makes me super hopeful as someone who wishes ultimately to live in a lavander marriage. The message conveyed by that story is really really sweet, and it has been a total pleasure to read entirely.
I appreciate also the realism in the plot, particularly with the ending Takerota recieved. The main purpose of the story stayed with his best friend not reciprocating his feelings, and he accepts it with peace, even tho in an ideal world, they wouldve ended up together or Takerota wouldve found someone else. He finds peace about that tho, which convey the message that "happiness is a subjective thing" even better. Not everyone has as objective to find love, settle and have kids, something that Yuriko noticed and said during the manga. Its never shown tho, most stories ends with the mc settling with the opposite gender and having kids, like thats something everyone in the world should wish for.
I really relate to Yuriko's character and the representation is honestly super well made. I honestly wish i could find characters like her in a story thats not necessarily centered on lavander marriages or arranged relationships, medias lack relaitonships outside of the typical man woman couple. Im soso glad i got to find this, as someone who stuggles to find media to relate on or even romance that i appreciate, this was amazing. Sorry i wrote a lot lmaoo i really liked that manga and i got nobody to talk with about it so here i am writing a topic... all thanks to the super goated author, cant wait to reread it again in a few months 〔´∇`〕
