The family lived above before but the parents (influenced by the cult? Mentality) insisted on smth abt judgment day and had the facility built. That's when the outbreak happened and they put the base to use, once quite a bit of time passed dad said he wanted to bring the grandma down to the facility and died out there (never returned, so thats what I'm assuming) and the mom starting going a bit crazy after a while and Taught seme her medical knowledge until he mastered(?) It using a rabbit she caught, she then died w/o guilt knowing he has the medical knowledge he needs to patch himself up or smth... （/TДT)/
Keep in mind she basically commited suic!de when he was still a kid-- so he was left alone at a young age and stayed at the facility for 9yrs alone... pretty sure that's why he mentally stayed as a 10yro, No one there to educate him. Σ(っ T Д T;)っ
