this is not a safe space for ppl who enjoyed the story. maybe it’s because of the shitty translations but half the time i didn’t understand anything. the story started to go downhill with the seven year time skip. it’s like the author didn’t want to develop their relationship anymore and just wanted them to get married. i don’t understand the magic stone slabs, never have, never will, and quite frankly, i don’t give a shit about those stupid stones. the relationship with the ml was half baked. they tried the “we’ve been away for so long i only love you more” but it doesn’t feel genuine or well developed. don’t even mention the other two male leads if we can even call them that. forget baking, that shit wasn’t even in the oven yet. idk where they were trying to go but why build up a romance that can’t even be called a romance? it’s unnecessary. she never even liked them in the first place, especially manuel but somehow he was in love with her? mind you, he barely knows her cus she’s a servant from a different house. horrible execution. also why is everybody sick? robel is sick, edric is sick, the crown princess is sick, heath’s brother is sick (well he poisoned him) it’s like omg can we be original? i kind of checked out once we hit ch 60 and i didn’t really care anymore. the romance was undeveloped. idk how robel “fell in love” so quickly after edric confessed. idk how tf she got powers. why did she “absorb” his powers like ? also the power thing was so last minute like this entire story we’ve never put on emphasis on powers besides the stone slabs and now it’s this power that saved them. and the whole villain plan with the duchess and heath? we got half an episode, we didn’t even see them plan anything btw and all of a sudden, robel defeated them all on her own with the power of frost? what? the premise was so good but the ending was absolute dogshit. i have not read the novel and i probably won’t because the manhwa was such a disappointment. i might reread the manhwa once all the official translations comes out but this story is a one star imo.
