He is not worth it

My honest opinion: the FML shouldn’t try any longer for anything. He doesn’t meet her standards - which include a loving husband and a non abusive family. Her non negotiables seem negotiable for some reason. I mean, her hormones do mess with her clarity so there’s that.

The ML, for another instance, disappoints me again and again. For example, the FML’s mom hits her while she is pregnant - he just watches beside her. But right after, her father tells the guards to arrest him - and she throws herself in front of him to protect him. See the difference? She is using her pregnant body to protect him while he watches her beside her doing nothing.

He drowns in his own misery while she is actively looking to solve things herself. Even in FML’s dream of their “future together”, he was sitting down in a chair watching the kids and she was wearing an apron doing housework.

He may like her, but that’s it. He doesn’t have a backbone, nor an actual sense of responsibility. He doesn’t even love her, or the child, yet. He was just caught in the motions and is acting based on the circumstances.
