I'm glad someone finally noticed it!! It's well-written, this isn't romanticized, it's actually a good psychological BL. I think it's interesting the power dynamics that are inverted (the woman being in power the man in disadvantage) and the incest part. I know they're not blood related, but the son grew and loved him as his father figure so it'sstill incest for me. The fact that the father was emotionally absent and neglectful initiated a burning desire to be loved and the trauma of being exposed to sex as a kid lead to the son having incest tendencies. I think that part was the most interesting part for me. I know it's very shocking, those dialogues like "come and have sex with daddy" are insane lmfao but if you can look through them you can find
an interesting and fucked up psychological BL!
Kinda sad that people brush off the good writing in the main story because of the elements, but I do understand that. Regardless if the story included incest or not, the parts in the story were surprisingly executed well.??? Like the side story is the testament that this BL is in fact, well written. I kinda wish there were more episodes in the sides and even main to flesh out the story even more, but it is what it is.
The messiness in the main story is one of the things that I loved the most about this. None of the characters are forgivable, but you can understand why these people had to do those unforgivable things.. The writer also made the manipulation so convincing, which I almost fell for? Or was it really true? (Though, the ending implied that the old man just wanted to be loved because he has no one but his son). At least, that's how I felt while reading the story.
I actually thought this was going to be another one of those psychological BL slops, but I was so wrong… I decided to give it a chance and I'm so glad I did! This BL gives me Odd Love/Exotic Love vibes which is also another messy toxic BL lmao.
