In the main storyline of the novel he did end up with the girl, but the author made extras for each of the guy he ends up with.
So, you could honestly just read the ending you want
Rn ch22+ is Natsuhi's ending and still waiting for his ending, and then they'll probably be Kaede's ending next
I mean, makes more sense if he ends up with the girl since he didn't really want anything to do with yaoi in the first place tbh
