Oh no, are u telling me this has the troupe of "I'm not the same as my parent, I will be different" ?? I kind of don't vibes with that.... If it's too much in the face anyway, I like it better if they want to be better than their parents without it being like "I won't follow my parents footsteps" unless ofc they have bad relationship, I love their lil family because well they're family even with an odd power ahahaha
Ahhhh.... But that's the whole plot for Suho, right? It is to be able to embrace and absorb the power of the shadows but I guess better than Sung Jin-woo, his father. When he found out about the powers, he keeps comparing himself to his father by following his footsteps and ways on how to control it. But as you can see, he has a better maneuver for it. He is not the same as his father, he's different. He uses his power in a whole lot different way. He became better, because he didn't follow Sung Jin-woos way of using the shadows. He made it by himself. So I think the phrase "I won't follow my parents footsteps", became his way of bettering himself. It was his self-motivation and way of overcoming his isolation of staying safe in his little box.
Yeahh I skip to the end and it's not really on the annoying side of the troupe! I actually glad he didn't get the summoning skill, well he did, I mean like he uses it differently, I was actually surprised when he also have those but anyway I guess we'll see!
It's not really boring guys, it's just that we got used to the OG plot where the MC become powerful enough to be carry the burden of the world cliche. This is kinda different because it takes a turn on how Suho will find his own way by getting out from his father's shadow as the heir to the monarch. It's interesting and fun to read
