They should've told her that that "count graham" guy was baaaadddd. They knew she's not knowledgeable of these things. And i get it, they want to preserve her innocence or some bs like that. But MAN. That's bad for her. Look, she's trying to broaden her horizons, breaking free from being sheltered, exploring the world. And the world is not all that safe. And they're (knights) supposed to protect or at least guide her through that journey cuz they're the only ones who's in her immediate vicinity that knows the world and is close to her. They've already been plenty honest with her. Why couldn't they do the same here? If they want to protect her, they should've told her that that guy would bring her trouble.
Anyways if this actually gets resolve by the knights or anyone else telling her that he's actually no good later on, pls disregard this.
