I'm not that far into the novel but
In his first regression he became the strategist for the Murim Alliance (Young-hoon was the leader) and he was barely a second rate martial artist.

In his second regression became the vice-leader of the Heavenly Extreme Demon Cult. Young-hoon was the Heavenly Extreme Demon, the cultivators branded them as enemies of the World because Young-hoon got the knowledge (through MC) of the techniques he had created in his past life and thought he could kill cultivators (who control the mortal realm from the shadows) with that, and he could do that with low level cultivators. Wrong. Is an art to barely scape cultivators of high level. Young-hoon once again fought against the cultivators and perfected the martial art made to fight cultivators once again and passed it on to MC. Young-hoon decided to become a cultivator in this life again and MC died while training. MC was barely hanging to first rate when he died.

In his third regression he decided not to follow Young-hoon and become a peak martial artist. If he followed him, he'd become again the Murim Alliance Leader and he wouldn't have time to train in martial arts so he went around fighting and fighting but he couldn't reach peak. At the end of his life, Young-hoon came back to pass on MC the perfected technique of his martial arts, he didn't have his limbs and barely hanged to pass his knowledge to MC, that was the price to blow the arm of a high level cultivator and he could reach the next stage. They both died against the cultivator but MC could finally see hints of the peak realm.

In his fourth regression, he decided to reach the Three Flowers Gather at Summit. In this life he became part of the Emperor's Shadow Guard and learned about how the Imperial family is part of a cultivator clan and how the cultivators kill mortals to create pills, or how they don't see them as humans. Young-hoon allied with another cultivator clan to end the Emperor's clan and while fighting the imperial prince, MC finally reached Three Flowers Gather at Summit. However, this is also his first life not living his whole lifespan and he died relatively early in this life.

I'm now reading his 5th regression. The plan for this life is reaching Five Energies Converging to the Origin (we see it in the manhwa when Young-hoon rejuvenates) which is the minimum requirement to become a cultivator. But seeing MC's experiences in his past lifes, I don't know if he'll choose to become a cultivator.
