The ending is not the actual ending. I don't know what the author is thinking. Just think of it as ongoing story. Or the ending is just the season 1, side story is season 2.

Can anyone tell me if the side story is the continuation and does it also have bad ending. I want to read but can't bring myself to if it's the sad ending again, till chapter 16 I think i cries enough.
