I have feelings, so bear with me

This is an essay into jjk's fucked up mind. You're warned.

Basically the story establishes pretty early on that a part of jjk is obsessed about power, and kim dan is a pawn he needs to keep being "perfect".

...So, what depths can jjk get to, in order to maintain that ideal image he NEEDS for himself?

Like, we already saw that he can't get it hard if its not kim dan, so he won't hire anyone else to take care of his jinx, despite saying that he could. Which is clown behavior: he feels obvious pleasure in thinking of this whole "kim dan thing" in an impersonal way but its obvious he's backed into a corner.

I wonder, how much can kim dan actually get away with by telling him "no" at this point in the story...?

jjk already has set himself for his return, kim dan or not. We see him accept the offer for a match and that brings him to a whole new low: he gets migraines again and his anger boils over at kim dan. I believe this to be his desire for power that forces him to get back to his old life, and for some reason, jjk can't accept any change to this old routine of his.

Which is interesting, bc it seems like jjk NEEDS things to unfold in a certain way to feel powerful and in control of his life: which means no string attached sex, being a champion and being violent as hell.

And kim dan forces him to be soft, tied down, and taking care of him rn means not accepting any matches; jjk himself tells us he can SLEEP now. The migraines though come back once he accepts a new match. So basically its like jjk's mind right now is REBELLING to the kind of life he's been living in "bumfuck nowhere". A kind of life that seems good for him though.

Its like... jjk's mind is trying to protect him from something in a very dysfunctional way, and it's doing it by essentially trying to eject kim dan from his life. Kim dan is dangerous. Kim dan could hold the key to jjk getting badly hurt.

We dont know jjk's background, we just know that rn he's an asshole and that jumin baek knew him as a child. We're also shown a black void regarding him unworthy as a whole. Was he,,, in a position of weakness? So much that he folded and tried to become an alpha male as much as he could...?

He said he's never sucked a cock before and in the start of the story he doesn't define himself as "gay", he tells us simply that his jinx needs him to sleep with men right before a match and asks kim dan if he finds it strange.

Also Jinx is following BJ Alex's structure to a T, so far. Do yall think that mingwa will eventually steer away from this path? Or do yall think that at the end of this story there will be no way that jjk can be freed from his toxic self aside from stopping being a MMA fighter...?

We're on for a hell of a ride, guys

Mingwa's really about having tops with traumas I get it and it's okay cos she resolved it well in BJ Alex and here I hope too. What's juicy about this is, is that doc also has stuff on his own where he's probably on a point where he could give a fuck about other stuff. And yes, this is very BJ Alex. S1 was okay but I was disappointed that when S2 started, the parallels were becoming too obvious. People would even put a side by side of BJ Alex and Jinx scenes. A lot of people were okay, I was mostly not because I was expecting much from her from a story point but I've come to let it go. I just reread S2 in preperation and noticed that S2's colouring/lighting made the entire season very dramatic/moody which I've come to appreciate. She either has a good storyboard artist or that's her. I mean the art is already chef's kiss. I just hope she eventually gets better at writing stories. And she'll be a complete powerhouse (tho she already is)
