the thing is i like these kinds of plots since i really love cherry magic and adachi also had this kind of image in the beginning so thought i would only have to bear with the second-hand embarrassment in the beginning, and then he will get character development. but he literally is not improving at all. cherry magic was infinitely better written as adachi was an unreliable narrator and so later on you can see how our image of him at first was because of his own low self-esteem; and then he actually recognised his issues and tried to change for the better. moreover, he is actually an inherently kind person despite what his self-deprecating behaviour in the beginning made us believe. while this guy is hopeless and cringe. no redeeming qualities whatsoever...

I haven't read love cherry I think, but I completely agree on the character development & second hand embarrassment part. So far, we have two+ volumes and the only guy improving himself here is Ukano he was even willing to alter his canine teeth! That's mad dedication. Like I understand Sachio has had terrible events in the past, but my goodness his insecurities rubs me the wrong way sometimes. What makes me angry even more is that he's always indecisive/inconsistent(?) with his views & decisions when it comes to Ukano just because he's a Fox and an Alpha, but he never does this with everyone else especially the ones who've hurted him wayyy back then. He literally wrote o-me-gad as an apology letter to that other mangaka but he can't fully trust Ukano right because of his close-minded views about both foxes and alphas.. Still, I guess I'm glad he finally stopped thinking about that, but now he's going to think marriage is impossible because of the dad's demand & the cancellation (〜￣△￣)〜
