She not biting anything. Honestly what she is doing isn’t any wrong guwon doesn’t have empathy and can’t discern what is right and wrong so all is actions speak for is mindset, but that mindset install fear and obedience. So there is no peace for these people no security because of the hounds and guwon that rule over them wouldn’t hesitate for a second in taking their lives and replacing them. That place is more of a concentration camp than a refuge. fear, anxiety and obedience is not the way to make people feel safe

I guess I’m also among the minority who think the same. He and the hounds are keeping the community running while the world outside has mostly collapsed. They’re providing necessities like food and medicine. I know everyone has lost someone dear because of them, but without them, they’d all be dead. They can’t bring just anyone into that tiny town, only useful people.
Being one of those people is both a privilege and a curse. But if someone still followed them to the town after seeing their family killed, it means they still wanted to live. Otherwise, they could have said no and died with the rest, because the hounds clearly didn’t care.
It’s dark and extremely dystopian, but it’s one way to rebuild a new civilization. Killing Guwon or the hounds doesn’t seem like the right decision for now. Have they even tried to reason with them? Now that the teacher is here and seems to influence Guwon, there are better options than resorting to violence. Honestly, without Guwon and the others, the community would fall into chaos. People would start killing each other over the scarcity of necessities, unless a new dictator rises again ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

personally, if you think you can have a heaven as a place of solace in a literal apocolypse and have a merry place in a setting where literal zombies are roaming outside then you're just delusional. you have a house, shelter, food, water, security and all the basic necessities you could wish for, but now you want empathy? You have what others would kill for and you dont even have to do anything, just live your life and fulfill your role. THIS IS AN APOCOLYPSE SETTING,if you want to complain still then you're just being too idealistic, actually the correct word would be unrealistic and ungrateful. It is not guwon's duty to make these people happy, it's for him to provide them a safe setting where they can fulfill their role away from the atrocities of the apocolypse. Also, what she is doing IS WRONG, the only reason this town even exists is because Guwon exists lol. So not only is she endangering herself but also the ENTIRE TOWN PEOPLE. so yes, she IS wrong, the hounds dont protect the town, they protect Guwon and his wishes. No guwon=No protection nor these basic necessites they have. also, if u dont like this "concentration camp" leave. no one would stop you.

EXACTLY MY POINT. you can't please everyone. the hounds and guwon dont need the town people, THESE TOWN PEOPLE DO. anyone disagreeing is just too slow to register the fact that this is an apocolypse setting, you can't expect morals and values when people outside are KILLING each other to have what you have at your disposal anytime, anyday. Trying to kill the one who took you in and due to whom you are still alive and breathing IS DEFINITELY biting the hand that's feeding you.

You are sooo right. Everyone else who’s disagreeing or not seeing that view just wants to stick to the normal modern day laws and morals and not thinking about how messy it can get if the world goes to shit. They’re not thinking about this being an apocalypse but thinking this is a community story with justice needed.

See I’m not saying you are supposed to have some kind of heaven but after fearing for your life not knowing when you are going to be bitten, it makes you hope for at least a semblance of peace of the life you previously had. So no, you don’t have to kill to have a community, a community is built on unity and communication and there is the balance of authority you have to uphold so that everyone can stay in their place. But with guwon he doesn’t have that balance, he holds a higher power that normalises the need to kill the need to install fear and not being able to speak up. There is a need for balance and he doesn’t have that.

This is a apocalypse setting. The moment you step outside you're on your own. I'll say it again since I don't think you quite understood what I said, it is NOT guwon's duty to take into account their happiness, it is to provide a safe environment for them to function, away from those zombies. Let's not forget, their life in on comfort level 100 because of guwon and his hounds. They get food timely, shelter, medicine, idle time and evrything that would NEVER be possible if they weren't there. There is peace as long as you don't step out of your role. Moreover well, "peace" is an unrealistic thing when you're dealing with zombies biting your neck the moment guwon steps out. Like i said the girl is NOT right, what you said is 101% wrong because the only reason she gets to be ungrateful and have time for these trivial revenge plans is because guwon provides her with the luxury to do so. Had she been outside, she would be fighting with her loved ones for a Tiny bit of food. That's reality of the situation. Killing guwon means killing herself and ALL the town people. Moreover, before these zombies get to them, they'd probably be fighting among themselves and killing each other just to hoard the food supplies themselves. This is not a community of morals and values, this is a community surviving ONLY because guwon chose to be the way he is. Sometimes to instill hear is to survive and keep the order running. That is a slogan one would live with if the world was going to end and a new law and order would be in the process of setting up in an apocalyptic world. Y'all need to realise this isn't a modern day issue that would be solved by modern day laws, it's a kill or be killed issue.

Exactly, they want a community based on "unity" like what do you even mean by that? It's a kill or be killed situation amd you want a place where you are allowed to get away with anything? They keep on forgetting, the tiniest bit of slip up by ANYONE would cost the lives of EVRYONE in there, these people keep on treating the situation as if it's just a problem liked clogged waterlines it's an apocalypse for god's sake

We can’t say they’re 100% wrong, though! That is a complex moral dilemma with no clear-cut answer. It’s true that Guwon’s brutal methods have created a functioning society that protects people from death. The community members are alive, fed, and housed, which is a form of success that might not be achievable through pure moral idealism.
But living in constant fear also creates trauma, hinders human flourishing, and often leads to the eventual collapse of that community. So even though I’m against the idea of killing Guwon (and explained why in my previous comment), I understand the perspective of those who support it, because building a community through trust and compassion is what needed for long-term survival.
This whole conversation reminds me of that famous scene from Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson movie, the “you can’t handle the truth” scene.

Well I get the fact you're putting forward, I agreed with it in my og comment, what I have a problem with is that one commentator saying "the girl isn't wrong" no she is. She is endangering the entire town for her revenge. Maybe it's the fact that I'm someone who believes in facts and am more in touch with reality for me to understand Guwon more. You just can't expect a haven of solace, moreover you can't push guwon to now even consider everyone's feelings here. Sorry to burst the bubble but feelings are the LAST thing you should be concerned with when there are people out there BEGGING to get a part of the comfort you have been provided EVRYDAY AND ANYTIME. You get to play house while others are dying not even getting a chance to have 1% of what you have and you're still complaining? I would never empathise with people that bite the hand that feeds them.
If it sits wrong with anyone, let's just agree to disagree because if those who disagree cant change their minds, neither will I

yeah i know that guwon is the sole provider for this community, that he installed those rules for people to abide so that they don't have to experience the outside. But what is the point of having a " it's a kill or be killed" mindset inside the supposed refuge when the people already experienced that outside. And for exemple the rules that you can't use the medecine in any way or form without the absolute need, backfired on guwon because when he became extremely sick and nedeed it he refused, he was so sick to the point of maybe dying jiwoon helped guwon realise that he nedeed that medecine. those "rules" that you think are working great, will probaly backfire on guwon or for a fact the hounds or the medic. all im saying is that guwon isn't always rieght and that what he is doing to help the community might not always be the best, hope is hard to come by but having that is important in an apocolypse type of setting, knowing that you don't have to be afraid of what you experieced outside coming in to hit at night just because you wanted to heal you son. I mean if you still don't get what im saying just watch the walking dead (jst an exemple it is not the absolute truth of what is going to happen in an apocalypse), negan was like the chief he had an harem of women that were forced to be his "wives" and you can imagine the rest, he would have fun terrorising people and kept daryl in a cell to torture him and keep him as a pet. that is an exemple of people suddenly losing their ùmorals just because is the apocalypse and they think is an excuse to do whatever they want without the consequence that comes with the modern world ans is views. See i agree that you loose morals when the setting deiffers but loosing your humanity to become a monster that terrify the people you are supposed to protect is not the way to go.

Like i said before, guwon is definitely not received right always. But what he is, is because of what he has been told. He abides by that. If you need something and ask for it with reason. Guwon can't please everyone, the only reason he had these people here is to make a functional community with each person serving a purpose. Also, the point to have a "kill or be killed" mindset is because it IS a situation of that. Step outside the small community and you'll see what it means. Yes fear isn't always the answer but in an apocalyptic world,it is to be expected. The only reason the town is functioning properly with the hounds is because Guwon and his rules exist. Again, my point was the girl was being ungrateful, for me, she is DEFINITELY biting the hand that's been feeding her. The hand that allows her the leisure to worry about trivial things, the hand that has helped her afford time to even think of revenge instead of fighting with her loved ones for survival. That's my final take, it's fine if you don't agree, I don't intend to make you. People can have different opinions, I still think my take is the right one, it's ok if you don't.

Personally for me, i still think guwon has the mindset of a child. He listens and learns. He doesn't know shit and all that he is right now, is what he has learnt from the town people. Maybe it's my love for guwon speaking but he's like a sacrificial lamb for all the resentment of the town people who made him the way he is , so that they could just protect themselves. Rest I'll just leave it to the upcoming chapters, I stand by what I said but i respect u giving your opinion.

I agree with the fact that guwon may be raised by bad people. It feels like he was some sort of underground experiment trained to become a weapon and was only taught basic survival. Like he isn’t taught anything that isn’t outside of survival skills. Things that could possibly distract him like sex and other random words aren’t taught to him. It reminds me of black widow from avengers lol. They don’t even talk about him like he’s human.
tbh guwon isnt a guy filled with moralty and that is what you should expect in a literal apocolypse setting. He cant take care of everyone. For him, if you're useful, good. if not, goodbye. I can't help but feel that gyeongha girl's just biting the hand that's feeding her. You can leave if you don't wanna suffer here yk?
