Well we have our different opinions but some people hate those type of tropes well.. not particularly but well it actually depends on how to authors write the character most people hate those tropes cuz either they make stupid moves or they still choose the wrong shit even though they know it's wrong
But some soft type MC are loved too but usually people love the independent type of shit tropes since well they have a good mindset and they usually use their brain and are smart which ofc its makes them look cool afヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
