I wonder if Jinwoo’s dreams are premonitions? In earlier chapters he has a nightmare where all the towns people are dead and saying it’s his fault. Jinwoo also had a nightmare where Guwon is crying saying he needs to protect the town (even tho he’s killing ppl). Are these glimpses of the future? Or is his intuition really good? So excited for season 2.

Guwon in the first chapter only saves Jinwoo because he is a teacher. He was very clear about that. From my memory, Guwon was ready to kill Jinwoo even tho he was on the floor, injured, and dying. Guwon’s lack of disregard for life was never hidden. Why this is a surprise to readers is confusing to me? Guwon makes it clear that life is only valuable if it fits his vision.

From day one we knew he was cruel. The fact that he’s a puppy too, as well as a blank canvas for morals, are other facets of his character. And make him even more dangerous. Cause it seems if Guwon trusts someone he’ll genuinely listen to them. I wonder if the hounds are like the devil on his shoulders and Jinwoo the angel. Both trying to teach Guwon. Honestly, Guwon reminds me of a child playing with their babrie and dream house.

This is my exact interpretation as well. I’ve said it before, but Guwon reminds me of a test subject—a blank canvas as you say—and his entire personality and morals are at the most infantile level in the body of a remorseless killer. And by remorseless, I mean that I think he doesn’t even realize the concept. He’s like a child saying and doing things without realizing the consequences of his action. I wonder if he even realizes what death truly is.
