I mean she didn't think that mother daughter duo were bad until now and she just got backstabbed, so it makes sense that she's not trusting ppl rn.

Its not, she just went through a traumatic experience and almost lost her child. So it makes sense she doesn't want to face her father and take on another trauma bc a parent cheating is traumatic for their child. Also, she has known these people for 20 long years it makes no sense for them to bide their time and attack her now unless it is a deep seated grudge.. Also, people like to believe there is a valid reason for something bad happening to them just so they could justify it to themselves and digest a situation they are in bc of someone else's actions..
