Ive been reading the novel, haven't finished it yet. Basically, after this, Mc yells at Karum to not look at him otherwise he'll die, and runs away, but Karum, not understanding this, ran after him, and eventually found mc hiding. It was the blood moon at the time, and when Karum found mc hiding, they locked eyes temporarily but Karum didnt die. Mc thinks its cause it was a blood moon, and Im not sure either since im still reading.
When ML goes back, you know, not believing whatever that guide told him about mc being the blue snake, karum unfortunately informs ML about what he saw. You know the prophecy about how a blue eyed snake will eat the ML's heart? What it means by that, is that MC will break ML's heart, and make ML hollowed out, when ML finds out MC's true identity. I just Wanna say things get a bit toxic later on. ML becomes cold as fuck, not even caring about his own soldiers anymore, despite having done so in the past. Everyone is like so shocked at how much ML changed. ML then goes down to where MC is being held, and starts questioning MC. MC straight up confessed that he is indeed Blue snake, the assassin, and that his goal is to kill the ML. Or was, atleast. ML told mc to think of some kind of excuse.. anything to make him believe hes innocent. However, MC didnt understand that, and just confirmed everything he already confessed. When asked why he was gonna kill ML, he told ML that he promised his family name (even after saying that, ML stilll doesnt realize mc is the 3rd prince). ML then told MC to his face that the Kemonon family (or whatever the duck its called), that royal family, will be wiped out. He will wipe them out. He also left MC alone, not giving him a chance to speak to him again cause of all the stuttering.
The Kemonon or wharever kingdom, the one mc is the prince of, launch a secret attack on the camp, like a full on siege kinda, thinking ML is dead (due to funeral preparations cause of the dead noble in the beginning of the story, the one MC killed. After the battle, ML does indeed head to the kemonon palace and slaughters everyone. He was very reckless when doing so, and his vassals and soldiers were shocked. Karume and someone else (forgot who, but hes on the prince side) realized what the prophecy meant when they saw how their prince did a complete 180 in personality after finding out MC's identity. Karum felt like he was missing something about the MC. Like he didnt know what it was, but just felt like something was wrong.
MC gets these dreams where a voice tells him to kill ML. That its his destiny, or a prophecy or wharever. That the basilisk curse isnt HIS curse, but the ML's curse. The voice kept telling MC that ML was gonna kill his entire family if he doesnt kill ML. In the end, MC could never kill ML.
The ML marched his soldiers to the palace, and killed the royal family. The second prince escapes, MC's older brother, and MC was brought along in a literal.. animal cage. ML interrogated I think a chancellor of that kingdom, and starts saying bullshit about how they'd trade MC's life over for the first prince's life. After killing the Chancellor, one of ML's guards or vassals or whatever urge him somewhere.. and that's where ML finds the dark cell MC was kept in. He starts piecing things together.. the words "I like you" kept resurfacing in ML'S head. That maybe instead of MC lying entirely.. that there was only 1 lie, mixed in with all truths. He was pissed and confused. He ordered for MC to be brought to him, but...
A bit earlier, MC was released by someone else. It was the old prophet that told ML's family about his curse. He was over 110 years old, and shoved MC to the corpse of his father, whom he never knew. MC was sad, and went over to his father, despite never meeting him. The prophet kept telling mc that, if he wanted to save his brothers life, he must kill ML. Apparently, The prophet made a deal with someone to ensure the prophecy comes true. Hes basically been planning this the entire time. However, MC refused, and killed the prophet.. and heard the sound of a lake outside the window. He opened the window, and jumped out of it, into the lake, and let the lake take him where ever it leads to. He wakes up, and loses his memories. While also meeting the second ML (yes ig theres another man competing for MC's love).
ML finds out about that MC left, after being removed the from the cage. Yea. He was also pretty mad too. He desperately started searching for mc, and put a bounty on MC's head. He didnt sleep at all and barely ate. He was like.. a battle lunatic with a goal to end the war, while also looking dor MC. Being reckless, as well.

Amnesia and a second ML??? God nooo the story is going to be long as hell and with a lot of suffering.
I was hoping everything was going to sail smoothly between mc and ml, but their relationship becomes super heavy.
Oh, well, now I know I have to let this marinate for at least 2 years
Thank you so much for the spoiler!

Continuing on from the spoilers from before.
The Second ML, his name was.. Ozdin and he's sort of like, an extremely rich merchant from another kingdom/continent (that's also across the water). He basically lives like a noble. Apparently, Ozdin was told a prophecy that he would meet someone, and risk his life for that someone. The prophecy went into detail unlike all the other cryptic prophecy's and even openly stated MC's name, and what he looked like (and the fact that he wore a blindfold, and that his blindfold shouldn't be taken off). Ozdin is someone who gets bored of things easily (I think thats how the novel portrayed him), and when Ozdin beard of this prophecy, he got excited, or intrigued. That there could possible be someone out there.. that would make him go to such lengths.
Ozdin finds MC washed up by the river, and calls him his name as if he already knew it (from the prophecy). MC didnt even remember his own name, and went along with it. Ozdin immediately skips, like, everything, and purposes to MC, and Ozdin for some reason wasnt gonna take no for an answer (atleast thats what it seemed like, after going in a complete circle). MC, having lost his memories was of course confused. However, when Ozdin mentioned he was gonna go on a ship back to where he came from, MC wanted to go. He felt a very strong feeling of 'escaping'. The reason he felt such a strong need to escape, is because he knew that if he stuck around Lashak (i think thats his name), The ML, then the prophecy might come true. He doesnt want to kill Lashak. So, he felt an unconcious anxiousness to get away. As far as possible. At first, he rejected the marriage purposal by Ozdin, but Ozdin agreed to let him come along with him regardless. Ozdin also wanted to see MC's eyes, cause he was curious, but MC also felt like he should never remove his blindfold. Like, it was a strong feeling, similar to the need to escape. Oh, also, MC doesnt stutter anymore since, the moment he lost his memories, he forgot about that habit.
Anyways, they hear rumors about the wanted man the prince, Lashak, was after. Dark hair, with a blind fold, and is as pretty as a woman. Naturally, Ozdin and his servants realized who the wanted man was, but Ozdin also understood that MC lost his memories, so he didnt really pry too much onto MC's past. MC kept having self doubts. Like, 'why is this person willing to help me?', 'Aren't I a criminal? Even though I cant remember what I did..', you know, those kinda thoughts. The servants on the other hand tried changing Ozdin's mind, but Ozdin kept his word, and tried helping mc Escape.
MC then dresses like a girl, with a wig, and a veil that covers his face and blindfold. He gets onto the carriage, and goes to a checkpoint i think. Towards where the ships were at. Apparently Ozdins family name is quite well known, so normally, the guards wouldnt thoroughly check them in fear of getting on their bad side, or developing bad relations. However, this wanted person was very important.. to the prince, atleast. The guards ended up searching Ozdin's carriage, and found out MC's identity due to the head guard hearing from one of Leshak's guards about how, 'If MC were to dress as a girl, he would pass off as a girl' (Even I think this is random lmao). They managed to escape, and throw the guards off track by abandoning their carriages in two different locations. Along with all the expensive merchandise . However since they didnt have a carriage anymore, they could move more freely.
Meanwhile, the head guard, or whatever, sent a bird messenger to the prince, Lashak, to request for backup In searching for the blue snake (and expresses that they found him too before he escaped). At the time, the prince was going to go to battle, actually. It was supposed to be the last battle to end the 7 year long war, but.. the moment Lashak heard about the sighting of MC, he abandoned that battle and went to the head guard.. along with his entire army. You can probably imagine Lashak's vassals, or subordinates reactions.
I forgot the city name, but Ozdin and MC, and Ozdin's monkey and one of his servants retreat back to a town or city. They find a inn owner that can keep their mouths shut, and rented a room. Meanwhile, the head guard calculated the direction the blue snake and Ozdin went towards, which was the town. Leshak's army practically surrounded the entire town, with tight security entrances and exits. It was almost impossible to leave.
The servant if Ozdin believed in Ozdins incredible luck, and hoped for the better outcome. However, even he was confused as to why Ozdin was going to such lengths.. to bring a criminal along with him (forgot to mention, but Ozdin doesnt rlly know what MC's crime is yet).
They think of another plan. One of the scattered servants of Ozdin (not the one currently with him) will pretend to be a blind person while Ozdin also hires other blind people to help. Before setting this plan into motion, Ozdin kisses MC, and even bites his nape, leavind a bite mark there. MC doesnt like it when Ozdin kissed him, cause it made him feel l Iike it was wrong. Like something was.. missing. The servant pretending to be a blind person draws the guards attention, and sets a fire up ahead. Meanwhile, Ozdin is with his 'Fiance (mc)', whom has a 'rare genetic disease' that makes his skin look like theres blisters all over. His eyes were closed, without a blind fold on, cause of the clay used to make it look like blisters.
However, even with all of the preparation.. Leshak recognizes MC. He walks over and Ozdin openly declares that MC is his fiance, and that he has lost his memories (Idrk if Leshak believed him or not about the lost memories, cause it didnt specify, but I think he does, or realizes its true). Leshak also sees.. the bite marks on MC's neck, and gets really jelous.
Meanwhile, MC is just standing there. Confused. Part of the clay mask ends up cracking and comes off, revealing Part of his face. MC kept his eyes close, and couldnt see anything. However, he recognized Lashak's voice.. but, he couldnt remember him. He had this need to.. run away. He felt really anxious.
Then Lashak goes on ahead and tells Ozdin that mc is a criminal. The blue snake Assassin. Ozdin is of course shocked, but he doesnt relent. This makes Lashak angry, and even goes as far as ordering Ozdin to be killed despite his status. Lashak's subordinates are even confused and hesitant at this, but cannot disobey an order. However, just as Ozdin was gonna be killed, The monkey ozdin had came out of the bag ozdin was wearing i think and defended them. However, Mc wasnt able to get away. Only Ozdin got away.
That's all the spoilers for now.. Ill write more later if you want me too (it gets worse)

Continuing where I left off before, Lashak grabs Radan's shoulders, and said, "Give a good excuse. Like a father who has dementia or an older brother who can’t use his legs. It’s okay to say that you were locked up underground and ate only dried snake meat your entire life. It would be okay to say that you will never forget the taste of the candy you’ve only tasted once.” (copy and pasted cause yes), and then Radan was obviously confused cause y'know, his memories are gone. Lashak wanted him to give an excuse, or make up an excuse, he literally proceeds to say, "Do your best to come up with a plausible excuse, do you understand", and Radan is all like, "No.. I dont", and Lashak said, "Thats okay, you will soon".
Lashak tells the guards that, the ones who aren't after the gett merchant (Ozdin is the gett merchant), cause rest, and tells his other guards to get the 'shakles'. He also says he needs sleep (since he finally has his scrawny hands on Radan).
Meanwhile, Ozdin and his servant went somewhere, like they rendezvous, and the servant talks about how Lashak's whole army came, and how Lashak really didn't seem to put an end to the war, which should've already ended if Lashak hadn't come when he did, all for the unknown assassin. Then Ozdin says it isnt cause Randan isnt the unknown assassin, its cause Randan is Lashak's lover. Earlier on, I forgot to mention, but Ozdin seemed to really want to bring Randan with him onto the boat, cause he realized that Randan used to have feelings for Lashak due to Randan talking in his dream (he said "I love you, my lord" in his dream, so Ozdin put the pieces together), so since Ozdin knew he didnt have his memories, he didnt want his memories to come back along with the feelings he felt. So, back to present, Ozdin wanted to bring Radan back, before he got his memories back. He was also really worried about what Lashak would do to Radan (at the same time, his servant is cursing him out saying hes crazy for basically saying hes gonna go up against an entire army AND the crown prince, just to get Randan-). Like he was desperate enough to go out right then and there, and go after him, but he was stopped by the person who told him the prophecy (About how Ozdin would meet Radan by the river that day). The person who told him the prophecy, said that they would reunite within a week.
Now, with Lashak and Radan. Lashak brought Radan back to the Caliph empires palace, where Lashak shakled Radan's ankles (both of them, and was also blindfolded). Randan wanted to run away, cause he felt anxious and y'know, recognized that Lashak is the person he was running away from. Every time he heard Lashak's voice, his chesg tightened, and it was painful and scary for him. Lashak then comes into the room, and asks if Randan slept, in which Randan said no. Of course he couldnt sleep.
Lashak asks if randam thought of an excuse, but Randan didnt have his memories. So... of course he didnt. He said something along the lines, "I dont know.. your majesty, I dont have my memories. Im not sure what kind of answer your wishing for." (Not copy and pasted this time). Then lashak responds with, "Thats the wrong answer, Randan.", and proceeds to grab his neck, and said, "I told you to think of an excuse, so why dont you stutter first?" (COPY AND PASTED this quote). Randan said he really couldnt remember anything, and Lashak fell silent.
Lashak then asks if Randan slept with Ozdin (Cause of the bite mark on his nape Ozdin stupidly left behind). Ima just copy and paste their conversation here:
“It must have been only a few days since you met. And yet he called you his fiance. Someone who knows what kind of sin it is to attack me. Is it because you promised something worth it?”
“That’s something …… I do not know.”
“He said that without payment? Why?”
Radan couldn’t understand why Ozdin had done it either.
So he had no choice but to tell him what he had heard from him.
“He said …… It was fate. That it was just meant to be.”
“Alright? Did you believe that?”
(Back to my messy typing)
Randan says that it may or may not be true, he isnt sure either. Then Lashak asks if their truly engaged, and Randan replied with "That... yes.", and of course you all can imagine how Lashak reacted.. Lashak said, "..You have a knack for attracting other people", and proceeded to pull Randan closer, and bit his nape, where the bite mark ozdin left behind was at (like he bit hard, the novel described as it becoming mangled, even the doctor said that the bite mark would NEVER heal, and it would SCAR over)
Then Lashak says that this was his price to pay for not coming up with an excuse, and orders his guards to bring water to wash, and scented oil. So, ima skip all this this bull crap, and say that Lashak does indeed rape Randan. Lashak wanted Randans memories to come back, and raping him, in a way was effective. Randan was terrified that his memories were gonna come back. He didn't want his memories to come back, and was scared. In a way, losing his memories liberated him of his past (which allowed to him to not stutter anymore too). So, regaining all those memories back.. yeahh..
Anyways, Lashak stays in the bedroom with Randam for like, 3-4 days straight without eating, and the guards or the names characters (forgot their names), one of the guards brought food and water for them since they haven't eaten.. and that's when the doctor gets brought in (pretty sure randan gets a fever, and doctor explains how the bite on his nape will scar over), and lashak realizes what hes done.
Btw, I forgot to mention, but.. here's some spoilers for the prophecy. When the Caliph empire was founded, the first emperor or king, Caliph, found the land blessed by the gods, which was covered in ice. He used the fire spirits to melt the ice, and thus, founded the empire. However, the gods hated this, and cursed the fire spirit for daring to help the humans taint their land, whom the fire spirit loved. So, the fire spirit creates the basilisk curse, meant to be fueled with hatred. The fire spirit im pretty sure, is the voice Randan hears in his dreams to kill Lashak Caliph. However, throughout generation after generation, Whoever has had the basilisk curse has never been able to fulfill the prophecy, cause the hatred always turned into something else. So, it'll be the same for Randan. Though, he didnt really hold hatred to begin with (in my opinion).
(Thats all for spoilers)
For anyone who has read the novel, could you spoiler some stuff. I don't mind what, just anything. I would really appreciate it, thank you in advance if anyone does!!!( ´∀`)
