charles was adopted by sasha because it reminded him of karel the most (this was sasya's lowest point in life and iirc he wants to start to love again, so he decided to take karel)
i think it was mentioned in the side stories that because sasya was on tour a lot when charles was growing, charles doesnt think sasya as his daddy (idrk about this one tbh) but i think that's my theory
