Cam you explain the changing skin and the brainwashing please?
This is a guess bc even I was confused when I read the novel but basically Marianne and Alisa first appearance are actually not their first appearance. Alisa originally looked like Marianne and was loved by her siblings and everyone else. Marianne original looked like Alisa and she didn’t like her black hair and green eyes.
So Marianne brainwashed the family and Alisa and made them think their appearance was switched and Marianne also brainwashed the family to hate on Alisa and basically forget about her.
Also I forgot to add that Marianne did not get possessed by the goddess but some other demon
I’m just gonna focus on this current war arc in the manwha and expl why I think the novel was better in some ways.
For instance I like how in the novel the way all the family members undo the brain washing vs the manhwa. In the novel, arsen worked with Aisha and locked up all the family members except Elise (bc he was captured by the yisis’s army early on) in a room and waited for aisha, yisis, Luminas, and Elise (they brought him with them) to arrive at the castle. Once they arrive, luminais instantly clocked Marianne’s trickery saying that she smell like a corspe and instantly undo her spell of her wearing Alisa skin (I would explain if someone asks). Then he turn to Aisha and the other family and told them that they were brain washed while he undo that spell too. All of Aisha’s family members were in pain and in confusing when they got their memories and Aisha had a hard time accepting the fact that she and them were brain washed (i would explain what memories they received if someone asks.). Certain things happen and Marianne took lakias (Aisha brother from her past) and Aisha chased after them. And they round out in a room and lakais protect Aisha from being stabbed from marrianne (which led him to get stabbed). He then triggered Marianne by saying he only loved his sister (aisha/allisa) and all Marianne received was false love or something like that, which she then stabbed him multiple times and later regrets it. Lakisa basically was dying and was saying sorry and he had a flashback of allisa and him. Honestly it was very sad and I felt bad for him. Aisha was devastated and basically was hugging lakis’child at his funeral bc he looked like him.
