I finished it and regret it. ML is an insane bastard with a revenge plan based solely on pure stupidity. FOR A MOMENT, I potentially understood the want of having the MC suffer the way he did BECAUSE they made it seem like he got violated constantly as a consequence for following the MC’s runaway plan from when they were kids in that orphanage BUT GUESS WHAT, he came out unscathed. AT MOST he was harassed when he was in the streets but he was never actually full on sexually abused.
SO HOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE FOR HIM TO WANT THE MC TO GO THROUGH WHAT HE WENT THROUGH WHEN THAT NEVER HAPPENED TO HIM??!?!??
He confined, violated, and BEAT the MC, because he didn’t like the fact that he thought the MC was living a good life without him. HELLO?!!!! WAS COMMUNICATING NOT AN OPTION????? And then you tell me that the MC chooses to be with him after this whole mess. HELL NO, matter of fact I’M UPSET THE BETA DUDE WASN’T GIVEN A CHANCE, granted he was stupid and trusted the MC’s nemesis but his heart was still in a better place than the ML.
