it's really the little things that sets the novel apart from the manhwa. when aurelie tests if jesse's lying in the novel, she immediately gets up and apologizes to him with a sad look on her face because she didn't doubt him but had to check if he knew the secret behind the holy stones anyway (and jesse completely understands and reassures her). frédérique also jokes and says she's like a villain. it's a great bonding moment with jesse's in-laws also if anyone's confused, the empress refers to sir johann as "tessa" in this chapter which means "imperial instructor" - it's his official title, idk why they didn't translate it.
