Didn't say he came to love MC, but he definitely has a moment when he hesitated, felt bad, or acted out of guilt.
Maybe I missed it but from reading the raws and what's available now, he feels guilty sure but I'm pretty he said that he still hated the mc. And when the mc tried talking to him on the phone he was being an ass generally trying to tell the mc he doesn't want him anymore
And that's fine lol. I meant I'm tired of seeing complete psychopath. It's nice to see the perpetrator's internal conflict regardless if that means he has positive view on the victim or not.
I've always loved this kind of development and a kidnapper who has a conscience or soft spot left.
