    authors sometime leave short story endings open with TBC incase they want to revisit the story at a later date, as of rn that's the official ending. there's a chance it'll get more chapters but there's a chance it wont

    Unfortunately its the truth I feel you tho. there are other stories that have gotten extended before. Take "private call"(프라이빗 콜)as a example, it was originally a short story that now got a 2nd season and is over 30 chapters long.
