In the novel, hess was calm, too calm that even I as a reader feel anxious when she was thinking of how she could return to her world, she said it herself that it wasn’t s*cide. I was waiting for Kaelus’ reaction when he saw Hess in the balcony as he was coming down from his carriage, I wanted to see his fear, this chapter seemed a bit rushed huhuhuhuhuhu plus Hess only thought of not wanting to see Kaelus’ face, not saying it to his face because of Kaelus history of s*cide. A lot was taken out even the Butler’s and people at the manor’s effort in cheering Hess up
The crown prince is sometimes referred as Hyperion but I subconsciously read it as hypertension. Btw this scene is a bit different from the novel.
