NGL I kinda guessed it. Its a common trope of adopting the mc who is secretly a lost child/relative. I'm glad she found them in a bit twisted way but still nice.
Mother is a fairy.
Mother travelled in the future.
Mother met the Count and had the family.
Since mother is not originally supposed to be in the future, she eventually had to abandon the count and 3 kids and go back to her timeline.
She's pregnant with the witch when she go back to her timeline.
The witch was born, the mother goes crazy then died.

She's the youngest and at the same time she is not.. she wasn't supposed to exist when her mother goes back in the past but because her mother is powerful she just did.
Its like her fate was over written so ignore your theories of her, just think of her as an adult don't confused yourself anymore, or make your head hurt more if you want IDC.
The reason she can't go back to her adult form is coz she unconsciously dont want to turn back (mind over matter type of shit or i dunno)
