As someone who read the novel, I think I kinda agree while also disagreeing. Prince was a very green flag guy much more than ml. But there was three facts that Prince had that made him obviously not the ml. First he was prince, his position was not flexible, meaning once Bianca became flawed it would only make things more difficult for her if she choose prince. Second, he was a responsible prince, he couldn't abandon his duty for Bianca.
The third was prince and Bianca were too much alike, they thought like each other as both noted by them. At most, Bianca thought of him as a friend because of this. Ricardo did show why he was ml when Bianca became a flawed lady.
Hmmmm I guess some things were either lost in adaptation or it hasn’t been shown yet, but I get what you mean. Either way, I think what you said adds onto my point abt the prince and her, that objectively kinda at this point in the story where we don’t know her infertility - it’s kind of a ‘???’ For her to not chose the Prince? Which is just how story telling goes so I’m not too too mad, I just wish there was a bit of foreshadowing (maybe there was and I forgot) abt her issue. Either way, it’s a sort of bittersweet thing abt her and the prince. Kinda depressing no? In her first life(?) she married a man who was cold and didn’t have a close relationship and the guy that did like her couldn’t be with her because she turned out to be flawed….
Also this is personal about the male lead I’ve realsied in the process of writing this: the ml is just not my fav type of ml. He’s just so bland… like they’ve said all the issues he had with her and how he sees her differently now but like….everything he says makes me want to roll my eyes into the back of my head ?
I might come back to this after letting it marinate but who knows.
I did get the vibe that she didn’t like the Prince like that but ah….what if ya know? The chemistry of what could have been was too good not to think abt.
I’m not usually like this, I can usually understand why the ml is the ml but in this??? I swear the only reason she’s still with the ml is because of her ‘love’ for him. Even tho, let’s be real, she never really experienced his love, only kindness when they were kids (idk abt the novel im just saying what i see here), he never looked at her when dancing, dodged marriage talks for forever?? Like this guy genuinely had 10 years to try to know her. And god knows what she’s been doing these past 10 years that the dude knows nothing about her personality.
It took him ONE question to clear up that no she doesn’t hate kids. ONE. like your joking.
Like I get that when she showed her more caring side to him he started falling in love but Jesus, you had 10 years man. I can’t be too mad cuz it’s shown that he reaches out to her and stuff but…

Like bro what have these 2 been doing that he never saw her doing anything nice and what has she been doing for the past 10 years man.
And then there’s the CROWN PRINCE who actually loves her and cares about her even before she read the book. Apparently he even stays friends with her even when she doesn’t choose him.
Truly who in their right mind would stay with the guy who suddenly sees your good side over the guy who has always seen your good side.
Like the only answere is sunk cost fallacy atp.
Like sometimes they are cute but then she just has more chemistry with the prince who actually cares abt her. Ml is just ‘oh I didn’t know she had a heart’ like be so fr.

But I guess she can’t have kids so she can’t be the crown princess either way but this jsut feels like the author brute forced an ending that ‘there was never any over option for her’ type deal. ‘Oh make her unable to have kids so technically she couldn’t be the crown princess’ idk it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
And also the book isn’t actually true and he doesn’t cheat and she doesn’t die or smthg but still, they are cold to each other. Idk it’s a little bit her fault for not showing her feelings and being cold yes but there’s literally a guy who’s gonna be THE EMPOROR who cares about you.
Chasing the love of someone who won’t give it vs the love someone so feeling giving and you choose the later: I can’t even feel bad for you atp.
I might acc leave this story because there’s no way the ml is gonna beat the crown prince in terms of ‘better life partner’ because BRO DOESNT EVEN TURN ON HER AFTER SHE REJECTS HIM they stay friends and it would be better if he turned evil so not choosing him would be less stupid but that’s not what happenes
I really wish these fl’s would actually stick to their plan of not dying and whatnot like in ‘to kill a villainess’ I need another eris, what do you mean your having panic attacks of dying and you still stay with the guy.
