Well, art is subjective and so is this story. Whenever the author describes about dogs, like, the panel where a dog just wave it's tail waiting for someone to adopt, love and care for it; I felt empathetic about the dog rather than the mc, as people can be so harsh sometimes, they abandon their loyal companions. I see the author inclines and mirrors mc more with dogs and don't see it in negative light. Would be perfect to say, the character transitions from dog phase to cat phase...
The point is; I don't see any loopholes, plus, this is beautifully portrayed and teaches us to be loyal, trustworthy like DOGS. Humans can be so sick at times, but in the end the mc definitely made up his mind with the ml than his abusive brother. This teaches us that despite of all the hurdles, subjection and abuse, mc is torn between his former master and his current lover(the dilemma and traume one can have when he's disciplined in a certain way, falls in the same void)... I can relate it completely well. Sorry, I said more than I shouldn't have.
maybe it was sexual assault/rape at the beginning, but hey, it’s all fine because by the end it’s consensual, right? Comparing the uke to a dog. Insulting to dogs, honestly — they’re loyal, unlike this twisted excuse for a character. Just sick story
