It’s not like Ian treated her badly, and if you like a guy just because he is nice to you, do you really like him?
Also the whole separation thing is not that simple, he tried to help her, give her the best lawyer and all, but she wanted to stay true to herself and principles, and before that their developing relationship was fragile, something new, something they didn’t name yet.
And in the end She end refusing his help after everything he tried to do for her and put herself in danger, she could had end up getting a worse sentence.
And after the Jail, she didn’t feel like she had or deserved anything with him anymore, and as I said, their relationship was Fragile, they haven’t put any labels, and didn’t have any real rights to one another, it’s just not that easy when you don’t know where you stand with one another anymore.
