Yes I was really confuse why they abandoned him, like wtf? Didn't you love him like a real son/brother?? Was that really easy to throw away? I have an adopted cousin but our family really didn't have a thought of thinking that she wasn't related, we always have this mindset that our aunty and uncle gave birth to her, and it was funny that we always forgot that she was adopted, we even made a joke about it that if she needs an extra kidney we'd donate because she's to sick at times
They probably abandoned him because of the things he has done to them
Yeah they have no sense of responsibility, in other words irresponsible
Not gonna lie, he said it himself, the entire family treats him like a replacement for their real "dead" son and nothing more
He most likely could tell that was why they treated so well or even pretended to love him in the first place
It very well could have been the reason he;
1. Act so spoilt to the people around him(wants to be noticed as and loved as the real son)
2. Get involved with a bad crowd who he can't tell is using him ( cause he subconsciously trust those who mimic the personality/ interactions his family have with him)
3.Was so clueless about how his actions were wrong (cause the family never thought him better, only wanting to spoil him rotten like they wished they could with their real son)
This might not have been the author's intention but it makes it a good reason as to why au yichen does not want to be involved with them
honestly the adopted lu brother is very pitiful. he became a spoilt brat because of the pampering and then the family throws him away because they found the real son. how can u abandon someone that u have raised. that scummy family doesnt deserve the adopted son or the real one. they are the real trash in this whole comic
