Meant to downvote. This blatant sexualisation is not art btw. There are naked figures in art and in many museums but it’s not a vessel for pornography like it’s depicted here. I think the author made that clear enough with the reaction of the main character. Plus it’s likely they’re both endgame vs the old creep.

It was a joke first. Second ,Art is subjective, you can add pornographic themes to it. What matters is if the muse was comfortable. Then again, there have been muses in saw art that were uncomfortable (ex.little dancer of fourteen years). Also I don't think the Mc gets to be this judgmental about the boss decisions. They barely know each other.

Ok. By definition art excludes pornography, they have nothing to do with each other. Art is never sexually explicit. Whether the muse is comfortable or not doesn’t matter. The “work” of the old man mainly depict cut off body parts with bondage elements and scenes of rape, not people. I think the love interest knows what the MC wants and has been stringing him along for a while now. They’re not officially in a relationship but it’s clear that’s where it’s headed. His reaction is expected for someone who’s developing romantic feelings towards his love interest. Now is it fair to yeseung ? Maybe not but I guess we’ll see in future chapters if he cares that MC is seemingly the possessive type…

sorry but you dont know what your talking about. the idea that art by definition excludes pornography is simply factually untrue. i literally study art history and its well known that many classic art pieces from the renaissance for example would have functioned as a vehicle for pleasure. even in the modern era there were artists who are revered today who also drew and painted what was considered porn back then. this is simply an ahistorical analysis. u can have your opinion about the art depicted here but that doesn't mean it wouldnt be considered art in the real world

Well I actually have a history of art degree, class of 2023 from Europe’s biggest university. Maybe you need to talk to your teachers ? There is not a single art current that is pornography. I’m waiting for you to quote or cite an actual painting or statue created specifically for sexual arousal or to sexually stimulate the viewers. From the renaissance since that’s the era you specified. Again it’s the very /definitions/ of Art and pornography that opposes one another. It doesn’t get any simpler. If that were true then pornographic movies would be celebrated at the oscars like actual cinematic masterpieces, yet they aren’t. Just like the dude in this manhwa thinks whatever pornographic object he creates is art doesn’t make it so. The birth of Venus by Botticelli was not made so people could masturbate to it, neither was Courbet’s Origine du monde… In Europe we also do not view nudity as inherently sexual so maybe that’s where you got confused… Oh and there are no bdsm sculptures / pornographic paintings) in reputable museums ( Not even at the Uffizi Gallery - you know, which has the largest collection of renaissance art - which I’ve actually been to) despite them existing so it’s not just in the Manhwa in real life too it’s not considered art.

look im not about to write an essay on pornographic art in the comments of a comic on mangago lmao. it is interesting to me tho that someone who has studied art history seems to have such a rigid definition of what art is. idk what u were taught but ive always been taught there is no real singular definition of what is and isnt art that is universally accepted. also i know nudity is not inherently sexual obviously. but u also seem to have a very eurocentric view of art and art history because ive literally been to museums in japan for example showcasing pornographic prints from the edo period. yes those were prints the meant to be consumed for sexual pleasure. its also weird to me that u have such a rigid view of art and porn as separate given the fact that u seem to be enjoying a whole lot of pornographic comics . would u say that these comics arent art? cuz i would argue they are definitely a form of art
