That's how I see it too. It looks like she got abused that's why she's repulsed everytime the priest or anything related to him is mentioned
Yes I think the priest was probably a r@pist only thing is I don't think it was an accident. I think thats probably why she never told anyone what actually happened because she probably did set the fire on purpose
my guess is she got probably physically abused somehow by that priest? in an attempt to escape him she accidentally set the chapel on fire and the priest died during that accident. at least that would somehow explain her current reactions to me
