Hestia had been forced to live in a world where she had virtually no one except for Kaelus, and even then she couldn’t be with him and watched only from a far, and the moment they actually met she literally watched him die. On top of all of this she watched as the world around them both continued despite all of that, neither diana or the prince noticed or cared and even the temple turned her down and could care less for her, at that point she realized it wasn’t just a novel but a devastating world that only revolves around diana. Also i cannot understand why Kaelus would fucking want diana to stay in power, she is not just incompetent she is selfish in the sense that she wants her beliefs to be on a pedestal and disregards any and all consequences of her actions, honestly it has nothing to do with just the hate Hestia has for diana anymore, he is literally turning a blind eye on the fact that diana should think about the people but she doesn’t, she shouldn’t be the empress and she shouldn’t be someone who is responsible for the entire empires life’s. Yeah so i’m with Hestia on this, idc if old habits die hard this is literally him choosing diana over her.

Yes, I totally agree with you.

I believe the reason Kaelus forgives Diana is because he doesn't care for her anymore and he wants to focus on his own relationship with Hestia.

As she said it, the love he had for Diana was true, even tho it ended badly. So he can put it behind him. Because all that happened to him here was being shunned by society and one attempted suicide, which is pretty bad! But when you compare to the last life, it is not as much.

If he had his memories of the past life, I believe he wouldn't forgive Diana either. Partly because of how much he suffered and mostly because of the effects it had on Hestia's life.
