When you actually thought of it, it's like a blessing in disguise. As we know so far Lil was able to live because of the mysterious plant. If he took those medicine as well which they say could be fatal to Lil, there's more possibility of him dying. Also because of that the 2 straight run offf to find Lil.
Kin is a straight up villain for pouring out the medication. Yes, it would've made the King sick if it hadn't been replaced with water but it was Abel's medicine, and Kin tipped it so that it wouldn't be useful
