and the infuriating thing was, he just blurted it out bc he couldnt think of anything to insult Ruth with. He was so damn emotional that moment, pissed off to the bones bc he couldnt make Ruth bend to his will no matter what. He’s obviously in love but wont admit to it, I wanna fvkng slap him with a bamboo stick
ML srsly can't be honest with his feelings I'm pissed even later on in novel where he's like "I can't live without you I want you to stay" in his monologue, he fucking said "I want you to be my dog" like wtf?
