First of all. Yuki and mafuyu relationship was bound to fall at some point. Why? Because they were too dependent on each other that they were practically suffocating each other. They WERE bound to fall. Yuki was not just friend or bf to mafuyu mind you. HE WAS HIS SAVIOUR. Yuki and his mom were the one who saved mafuyu and hi mother from his dad. So it's very clear that mafuyu cannot and never will forget about Yuki.
Second of all. Ue understood what most you all can't or never will understand. He understood Yuki place in mafuyu heart. That's why he finished his song to mafuyu not because it was song from Yuki but Because It was LOVE SONG FOR MAFUYU. He understood what is like to love mafuyu that's why he finished that song.
