So the manhwa did change a lot. In the novel side stories, Cliff and lize got married and had many arguments due to lize showing her true selfish self. Lize did something to try and fool the royal family then evil lize got sent away to a monastery and divorced with cliff due to orders of the emperor. Cliff was heartbroken but he eventually moved on and got remarried to a new lady who’s nice, and gave him the kind of comforting and peaceful love. Edith and killian have a good relationship with him and chose to forgive him.
Love this story and the ending!!!! Also the extras! But like…where Cliff at? Like damn, he could have had a redemption arc or something but is this guy just genuinely obsessed and nuts? I’m literally soooo curious as to where he went. If he gets a happy ending with the author, idk how to feel about that because the author doesn’t deserve a happy ending. Also, lowkey justice for Rheze or whatever her name is spelled like- like damn they shipped her off. Love the story and all but it’s just like- a lot of people in this story get the short end of the stick and it kinda sucks for them and it makes me sad :
