The process of him thinking about what to do in this situation is sooo realistic, in fiction you don't really see the thought process of the person that's consoling the other and it always looks like what they say is some magic words that they came up with on the spot, but honestly it's really stressful being in that situation bc you have to think hard about what kind of comfort to give and even if you do come up with something to say you think to yourself like, will this work, will it not, will I sound insensitive, will they believe me etc. And even if you don't understand you really want to help them out because they worked up the courage to be vulnerable with you. So yeah I just think it's a nice thing they added, Dajeong handled this amazingly, in this kind of situation it's important to stay calm and level-headed so as to not fuck up and agitate them any further. Even if he didn't say much, a simple reassurance of "I don't hate you" can really help someone that's insecure. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
