Promo refers to the promotional chapter, like a trailer of sort for the manga. The problem is most translators put up the promo without any follow-up for years. So even if the promo looks good, people cant read the rest of the manga after being teased about it.
promo is not "trailer for the manga" but for the novel. translators don't follow up because there is nothing to follow up. it usually takes years or months before promo upgraded to regular manhwa depends on the receptions

Oh I totally forgot about novels. Haven’t read those in a while lol. Even when I was reading novel last time, I’ve never really connected promos to novels. XP
