The fact that a succubus understands Bella more than Jen can, who is half-human is very surprising to me. I wasn't expecting that him of all people wouldn't have understood that her human-world-invading was just a ruse to get Zanbar to quiet. Then again, she is a succubus, so I guess it wouldn't be too far fetched that she does know people's emotions and behavior since she deals with romantic and and intimate interactions all the time.
