So, in a dire situation where He Zhuo risked his life to save Xiao Yu and his team, Yu remembered what happened in their past lives and got a panic attack. Quite severe one. When He Zhuo came to him wounded Yu avoided him frightened. He was in a rampage state and needed Yu to soothe him with pheromones but he refused. So he went back to fighting and won, but was severly injured. Yu told him its over between them and threw away the stone he engraved for He Zhuo into the water. Later Zhuo was recovering in the hospital and Yu had a mental breakdown for days because of his memories of being tormented and He Zhuo doing nothing. He still loves him but also hates him and the hate won. When He Zhuo came to him, Yu said there is no future for them. He Zhuo begged, both of them were suffering but Yu couldn't let go of what happened in the past and Zhuo knew he can't force him, so he promised to leave. Then Yu said he will leave the country for 10 years to sort everything out but he also admitted he may never return. At the day of the departure Yu took a snow scooter and crushed while Zhuo was heading somewhere else, not the port as he promised. Yu then started to be spectator of his lost memories of his childhood where his parents and brother left him all alone when he was 2-3 years old to be raised by servants. Zhuo lived next to him and often came to his window when Yu was scared of rain and thunder. He Zhuo was there for Yu for like few years but then had to leave and as Yu grew up he forgot. Zhuo took great care of him and was there for him when Yu was the most lonely. Yu couldn't believe he forgot how important Zhuo was for him in his childhood, but that gentle person changed so much when they married. Then an old man appeared. He started to explain to Yu that he is some kind of... shaman? I guess. He said that Yu clearly loves Zhuo and whether he really is willing to let both of them suffer. Yu said he can't forgive him even if he loves Zhuo. Then the shaman decided to show Yu what happened after his death and what led to him receiving a second chance. Because the one who turned back time was He Zhuo, but for a price. Zhuo found out that Yu's previous teacher (the one He Zhuo kills in the second life before Yu recovers his memories) was the one who broke him by tortures both physical and mental, after setting him free and knowing he married He Zhuo, he send his people as a cook, gardener and a servant to mentally torment Yu and make him look crazy. He succeded but Zhuo thought that Yu was acting crazy because of him, because he hates Zhuo. The truth was Yu loved him but because of the silent torment he was afraid of slightest touch. Which was the goal of the spies, so that Zhuo doesnt care about him. They even made a video of tormenting Yu. Zhuo saw it and blamed himself immensly. He realised that he allowed this to happen and never noticed. Shaman met He Zhuo in the past life and told him that he has to clear Yu's karma that was accumulated in this lifetime. In other words, he had to suffer what Yu suffered. So he followed what happened in the video, the servant feeding Yu dirt and other things. Shaman showed him all of that. Later he made himself almost deaf, broke his leg and started limping. Three himself of a cliff and had bodyguards beat him up unconscious. The last step was burning alive, by then Yu couldn't watch anymore how Zhuo tormented himself and begged him to stop. He lit himself on fire anyway. With countless bones broken, almost deaf and burned badly, the Shaman told him he met all the conditions but Yu didnt return because he simply didnt want to relive this life. So He Zhuo begged Yu to come back and that he will do anything. The only thing he didnt do was dying. So he lied on Yu's bed in his room in the attic and light it on fire. That's how He Zhuo's life really ended. Yu realised that He Zhuo treated him well in childhood and he didnt change but there were just misunderstandings between them they couldn't overcome. Yu decided to forgive He Zhuo. He woke up and went back to the base but was told He Zhuo never boarded the ship he was supposed to. Instead he went on top of a mountain where Yu died in his previous life. Yu thought that since he rejected He Zhuo and he was his only reason to be alive, that He Zhuo decided to end his life where he lost his. As he said before he will rest by his lover's side when he loses all purpose. So injured he ran to the mountain and saw he Zhuo on top of a coffin while someone gave him a glass of - what he thought - was poison. He yelled and ran and finally reached He Zhuo. He Zhuo really intended to kill himself. Afterwards they talked and resolved misunderstandings. It was a happy ending.
